The Brief
What the client asked for
A Boulevard Point resident wanted a king bed with real storage underneath but refused anything that looked like a budget ottoman-style frame — the room's Burj Khalifa view demanded furniture with the same finish quality as the building.
The challenge
Most hydraulic storage beds on the market use a thin fabric-wrapped MDF shell that flexes under weight and looks cheap up close; matching brass hardware to the room's existing fittings ruled out most stock frames entirely.
What we built
We built the frame from solid oak with a hydraulic lift rated for daily use, upholstered the headboard in a heavyweight fabric chosen to match the room's existing sofa, and sourced brass hardware to the client's exact fitting spec. Matching side tables were built from the same oak run to keep the grain consistent across all three pieces.
